A bit about who we are...

'In a world where popular music has become an influential center of social depravity, Red Letter Hymnal seeks the redemption of this art by fusing pop melodies with the divine to realize a creative coalescence through which the inspiration of hope and expression in the love of Jesus Christ reign supreme. Led by worship leader Brad Lebakken, with bandmates Jered Rabold (Bass), Zach Simons (Keys/Guitar), Nick Cotherman (Drums), and Ron Kauffman (Guitar), the band is rooted at their home church outside of Pittsburgh, PA, where they remain dedicated to leading worship every Sunday. They have been blessed to see their ministry grow from one service to two services in just over a year.

Forming out of a diverse group of musical backgrounds, the members of Red Letter Hymnal all bring unique experiences and influences to the group. "Our varying backgrounds create an interesting balance in our music," says Lebakken. Having been involved in many other projects, both secular and faith based, all members agree that the creation of Red Letter Hymnal, "just felt right." The band takes their influences from artists such as Hillsong, David Crowder, and John Mark Mcmillan in addition to a wide variety of indie and electronica bands.

Red Letter Hymnal will be releasing their first album to be available in Fall of 2010. '
